11/21/2023 0 Comments Jdm orlando inc orlando fl![]() I sent in a findings report and then had to call them for three days before I got an email response to send in a video or something off said noise. I reached out to JDM ORLANDO and they said the warranty department had to take a look but I needed something from the shop stating what was wrong. Once installed he took it for a test drive and it grinds in third gear. The Master tech said this was not a good sign but we wouldn't know the condition of the transmission until it was installed. Upon arrival of the transmission it smelled like burned gear oil which is not the Honda approved transmission oil, this was told to me by the ASE Master tech. I financed a transmission from JDM ORLANDO with a 30 day warranty had them ship it because I do not go into orlando and had Meineke install it. ![]() It is not fair for us to be charged any shipping costs. Jim said that he deducted what it cost to ship the engine out to us ( which we already paid $250.00 for the engine to ship to us when we made the purchase) and then what it cost to return the engine. I then called the shipping company to inquire how much the shipping was. We purchased the engine for $4274.00 and only received a refund of $3724.00. He asked for my information and said that he would issue the refund right away. I called Jim on 7/14/22 to ask when the refund would be issued. The engine was received back at JDM Orlando on 7/12/22 (Tuesday) 3:30 pm. Jim told us that we would have to pay for the return shipping costs. Jim's response was "no" to put it short and again in a very unpleasant way and tone. We explained this to Jim and asked if we could not get the engine we purchased we would like to return the engine with a full refund. The mechanics said the engine was a bad/shot engine. After several back and forth, unprofessional conversations (on Jim's behalf) and emails with us trying to get in contact to move toward so we can get the correct engine, Jim told us that it is a good engine and we should keep and fix the engine at our own expense. Instead we received a shot engine with a different engine identification number **************. The engines identification numbers did not match and we were told by Jim that they would match and we ordered the same exact engine from the advertisement. The engine that we received was an engine which was covered with sand, had sand in parts of the engine & broken parts etc. We purchased a clean 2018 Infiniti Q50 3.0L V6 Turbo AWD VERSION VR30DDTT engine that was depicted and purchased on the JDM Orlando website on June 14th 2022 ( ************ ). Should the engine fail in the near future due to an internal engine failure I want them to be held liable for any repair. I am now concerned with how long this engine will last and fear it will have to be replaced ain in the future. This is a company who claims they inspect all of their products before putting them up for sale. Had I been given accurate information I would not have purchased this item from them. ![]() The bronze color inside the engine makes me think this is a higher milage engine as well. There is also indication that the oil was not properly changed in this engine with the previous owner. These are signs that the engine has well over 150,000 miles on it. The chains had so much slack they were jot going to drive the water pump. There is wear to the timing chains guides, tensioners and the engine had jumped timing. I decided to make the purchase because I was looking g for one with low milage they said it had 50-60000 miles on it, upon install and inspection while performing the timing overhaul that was required to get warranty on the engine I found substantial wear to the engine and signs the engine has very high milage on it. I purchased an engine at the end of November from them for the price of 3125 for an engine for my truck. ![]()
