The fast neck and shorter scale makes this guitar a rarity. VINTAGE 1958 USA FENDER MUSICMASTER GUITAR NECK MAPLE ALL ORIGINAL PRE CBS. The neck and body came alive with the new additions. 1957 1958 Fender guitar tuner tuning peg Musicmaster Duo Sonic. I replaced the tuners, bridge, pickguard, knobs, wiring, jack, and added a second pickup (Musicmasters and Duo Sonics were routed the same from the factory). The sonic sound of the body and the fast neck were ready for more. Worn out wires, and the original pickup finally "lost the ghost", and the tuners, bridge, and knobs which performed so patiently with me deserved a retirement. It was 1990 and the decades of playing this guitar finally showed.
